What is Solar Electric?
Solar Electric power is the conversion of sunlight into electricity, either directly using photovoltaics (PV), or indirectly using concentrated solar power (CSP). Concentrated solar power systems use lenses or mirrors and tracking systems to focus a large area of sunlight into a small beam.
Can I afford it?
YES! Solar costs have come way down and it is more affordable than ever! With easy financing available and tax credits it’s easier than ever.
How many panels will I need?
Every household is unique! You do not have the exact power bill as your neighbor down the block. Our Systems are designed based upon your family’s power usage! There are many factors that contribute to your electric usage which will determine the size of your system. It is essential that an in-home consultation be performed to help us understand your usage and design the correct system for you.
Here is what we will need to know:
1. How many people are in the home?
2. What is the average electric consumption?
3. What is the square footage of the home?
4. Is your water heater electric or gas?
5. How many Air Conditioning units do you have ?
6. Do you have a pool?
7. How much roof space do you have?
Why should I use Solar Electric?
The U.S. solar market grew 76% in 2012. Never before has solar power been this available to American households. What are the reasons why so many home owners choose to go solar these days? Many people across the country are jumping on solar electric as the main source of electricity for their home. Why? Besides the obvious, free power from the sun, Federal tax credits and utility incentives, it is important to understand what the buzz is all about. THE FUTURE! Customers who have made the switch understand that it is the future. Solar is a clean, safe and renewable resource that will play a vital role in powering our future. By choosing solar power, you are contributing the health an d prosperity of the future generations. You do not rent your home, so why throw away your money by renting your electric WHEN YOU CAN OWN IT?

How Solar works?
The technology is interesting and complex, but how it works can be explained simply. A solar power system converts sunlight into electricity. The photovoltaic modules, also known as panels, collect the sunlight in the form of direct current (DC). The Inverter changes the DC electricity into alternating current (AC), electricity for use in your home or business.
A net energy meter keeps track of the all the power your solar system produces. Any solar energy that you do not use simultaneous with production will go back into the electrical grid through the meter. At night or on cloudy days, when your system is not producing more than your building needs, you will consume electricity from the grid as normal. Your utility will bill you for the "net" consumption for any given billing period and provide you with a dollar credit for any excess during a given period.
